In addition to being a husband, dad, musician and triathlete, I’m also a survivor of a ruptured brain aneurysm and Grade IV subarachnoid hemorrhage. Since that fateful day back in 2000, followed by 9 days in intensive care and 6 hours of brain surgery to insert a metal clip in my head, I’ve gone on to complete 19 Ironman 70.3 races and 3 full Ironman 140.6 races (with the 4 th scheduled for July of 2019 in Whistler, Canada.)

For me, Ironman continues to serve as a wonderful celebration of life. It’s during those most difficult, challenging moments when I actually feel most alive. After the end of my 2018 race season, I was searching the internet for information and stumbled upon TriDot. Always looking for ways to grow and improve, I decided to give it a test drive and was immediately hooked. TriDot’s intuitive approach and ongoing assessments provide critical, immediate adjustments to my training, thereby minimizing the risk of overtraining. The amount of analytical data available is quite impressive, too! I’m sincerely honored to now serve as an ambassador. Whether I ultimately make it to the podium someday, or even become the first (unofficial) brain aneurysm survivor to cross the Kona finish line remains to be seen. However, with the help of TriDot what I will do is keep to moving forward with confidence, continue to grow and never give up, no matter what obstacles life throws my way. That’s the message I hope to share and inspire my children with. Because when you put your mind to it…anything is possible.

When you put your mind to it, anything is possible
