In 2014 I began my journey of a dream I had for years, to become an Ironman Finisher. It all started when I was suddenly hit with an anxiety disorder and found that no matter the time 2am or 2pm running was what helped me most. Even after being put on numerous medications nothing made me feel better than running. Prior to 2014 I went to the gym 5-6 days a week but for lifting weights. My cupboards were filled with muscle proteins, crazy electrolyte drinks, and high energy drinks. Those all had to go when I began my research of becoming an Ironman. With the help of my tax return I purchased my first bike on clearance and purchased many books about training and eating. My wife would become my personal chef and nutrition coach, and I would be my own personal trainer. In April 2015 I completed my first Olympic Triathlon and 2 weeks later would become a 70.3 Ironman finisher at Ironman Texas 70.3. I was now hooked, I would go on to complete 4 more 70.3 Ironman races, and over 16 local triathlons. After selling and upgrading much of my gear over the years, I decided to get a coach but that didn’t last long when I found TriDot in 2018. As soon as I started using the program I saw a huge improvement and was on my way to complete my first full Ironman at the end of 2018 when I was hit with a debilitating onset of symptoms, to the point where I could hardly get out of bed. This was devastating to me after seeing so much improvement and feeling great to not only complete my first Ironman but with a good time. After seeing numerous specialists I was diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis. Having the answer I was now able to start focusing on training again pushing through the pain of this at times crippling disease. It’s been 2 months now and I’m starting to get back on track, pushing forward through it all. Seeing my TriDot training plan encourages me every day. I cannot wait to cross the finish line at Ironman Texas North American Championship 2019 , Ironman Florida 2019 , and all the local triathlons I will do in 2019. Without TriDot this would not be possible.

You, me, or nobody is gonna hit as hard as life. But it ain't about how hard you hit. It's about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward; how much you can take and keep moving forward. That's how winning is done!
