I started as a long distance runner and CrossFit competitor and I decided it was time to try out a local sprint triathlon. As training for the sprint began, I realized that if I were going to put in the effort to learn to swim and bike, that I was going to also train for my first 70.3, and so the journey began. The first 70.3 was the Ironman Boise 70.3 and although I was nearly the last one out of the water and suffering from a bought of pneumonia, I knew right away that triathlons were my new passion! I completed a second 70.3 that same year. The following year, I competed in several small sprints and CDA 70.3. I then decided it was time to take on the Full Ironman. After some rather painful hits to my pride, I decided it was time to hire a coach. After looking into what different programs had to offer, how they got their data and what felt best to get me to where I wanted to be I went with Bryan Kreitz with TriDot and I have never looked back! In 2017, with the help of Bryan & the TriDot training plan, I became an Ironman at Ironman Chattanooga and completed my fourth 70.3 in Victoria! In 2018, I am taking on the Ironman Calgary 70.3 and Ironman Arizona 70.3. Stay tuned as this will be an epic year!!! I am married to my husband Bill, have two daughters (Haili, 12 & Graci, 11, that are both basketball and softball athletes) and three stepsons (Riley, Paden & Abel). I work full-time as a Marketing Director in a Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation with a bachelors degree in Social Work.
