I had been physically active off and on for most of my life. I used to weight train, ride motocross and waterski. I began racing Triathlons as a means to lose weight and help relieve anxiety. I completed my first Olympic distance triathlon in 2009 and absolutely loved it. I wanted to start doing longer distances and started training for them. I was hit by 2 different cars in a matter of 3 months in 2010. As a result I developed a fear of riding the bike that took 6 years to get over. In that time I gained weight and developed anxiety and depression. I decided in 2016 that it was time to get back to training and get my health in order. I started training for Malibu triathlon and completed it after 9 months of training and dedication. I discovered TriDot after that event and immediately made gains much faster than I had previously by winging it. I completed my first 70.3 event in October 2018 in less than 6 hours and now my passion to do better and become competitive with others drives me. My favorite discipline is cycling by far and I’m actually beginning to enjoy swimming.

why be bad at one sport when you can be bad at three!
