I am 52 years old, married to Berry Baxter and mom to two amazing kids, Hannah and Tigue. I am the elected Commonwealth’s Attorney for the 12th Judicial Circuit in Kentucky. My position involves prosecuting serious felony crime. Throughout my career, triathlon has helped me manage the stress of my job and keep things in perspective.

I competed in my first Triathlon in 1990 and I loved every minute of it. Shortly after that race, I had my first child putting racing on the backburner. During the early years of raising my kids, I stayed fit by swimming, biking and running. In 2000, I got back into Triathlon competing in mostly sprint and Olympic distances and a few half Ironman. I also ran marathons and ran the Boston in 2003, 2008, 2010. I competed for TEAM USA at Age Group World Championships in Beijing, China, 2011, London England 2013 and Edmonton Canada in 2015. Up until last year, I said I would never take on a full Ironman. Famous last words. Never say never because I decided in 2016, that at the age of 52, I would attempt to tackle that distance. I researched coaching programs and settled on TriDot and John Mayfield as my coach. Literally, the best decision! In all my years of competing and using different programs, this program is the best. On race day, I could not have been more prepared. I remained healthy and injury free throughout my training. I completed Ironman Louisville October 15th, 2017 and the experience exceeded all my expectations so much so that I have signed up to compete in Ironman Florida on November 3, 2018.
