Triathlon saved my life! I was 75 pounds overweight and I decided to listen to a friend and give a Sprint triathlon try. I fell in love though it kicked my butt! That was in 2010. Fast forward 5 years when I decided to drop the weight and sign up for my next triathlon. I have been doing them ever since, from a super Sprint all the way up to half Ironman. My goal for the year 2020 is to do my first full Ironman!!

I was always into sports as a kid, but like so many others, fell out of the fitness routine after high school. I did get back into it for short time but then got very comfortable in my current relationship and got in the routine of life and fitness was nowhere in my life style at all. Though I wanted to become a personal trainer, I knew that if I didn't change my lifestyle and my weight, why would anybody want to sign up with me?

I've always been a pretty competitive person, so when the opportunity at my job a rose for a weight loss competition, I was all-in! Within 8 months I dropped 70 lb! I was ready to start studying to become a personal trainer and to continue triathlon in a better more fit body.

Triathlon will forever be a part of my life now. I love to challenge my body into new distances and new speeds.
