Highly Competitive

I’m married to Steve and have two daughters (ages 18 and 12). I was running half marathons for a few years when our family moved and I found a swim program at my new local Y during my youngest daughter’s preschool hours. I decided at age 39 that it was time to learn to lap swim and see if I could train for a local sprint triathlon. I was also a beginning cyclist. I followed a canned training plan for sprint and then olympic distance triathlons and got better over a couple of years. I joined TriDot with the preseason project to try it for free. I really loved how the program was built to adapt for my level as an athlete. I signed up with coach Ryan Tibball and have loved working with him and TriDot. I was given guidance on racing nutrition that I really needed. During my first racing season with TriDot I podiumed in my age group for the first time, was the female masters winner, and the overall female winner in Olympic distance races! I earned an invitation to USAT Age Group National Championships and raced well in the Olympic distance the following summer. TriDot has helped me become much more competitive at each race and has helped me be able to balance life and sport with success. My family also has been more supportive with this program because they know I’m getting really good advice! Now at age 47, I look forward to the 2019 season and killing it in competitive Olympic distance events in the Northwest like the PDX Triathlon in Portland and Chelanman in Chelan, WA.
