Highly Competitive

I am a former Division I 8x All-Conference performer in cross country and track and field and triathlons presented a new challenge for me. When I first started swimming when I was 18 I couldn’t do a 50 yard lap in under 70 seconds and felt like I was going to drown. My first triathlon race I was dead last out of the water and was playing catch up the entire time which was a totally new experience. I vowed to train and get better.

After multiple knee surgeries in my 30’s derailed several years of training I’m back on track to compete at Age Group Nationals and hopefully on the World stage. I’m excited to hopefully challenge PR’s at the Olympic distance this year and half Ironman next year with eyes on an Ironman in the best future.

A lot of people run a race to see who is the fastest. I run to see who has the most guts, who can punish himself into exhausting pace, and then at the end, punish himself even more- Prefontaine
