Growing up a competitive dancer and soccer player, I had ZERO interest in running as a teen and young adult. However, this all changed in 2010 when I gave running a chance and discovered that I REALLY liked crossing finish lines. After coming across an article about a woman who raced in triathlons that did not look like what I imagined a triathlete to be, I realized that I might be able to do it too and was inspired to find out more about the sport. I googled "triathlon training" and signed up with "Team in Training" benefiting the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. In 2012 I raced my first olympic distance triathlon: Nation's Tri in Washington D.C.

Since then, I have been hooked! I have done more sprints and olympics than I can count on two hands and have finished 3 half distances. I have swam in freezing cold water during an October race in Fruita, CO and have slept in the back of my SUV with my bike 2 days before my first Ironman 70.3. I have tri'd in Kona, San Diego, Lawrence, Galveston, Washington D.C., Coeur d'Alene and all across Colorado while making awesome friends along the way!

I have been using TriDot since November 2018 and appreciate how flexible it is and the gains I have made. As a teacher, evenings can look mysterious and TriDot gives me the grace to adjust my training schedule as needed. I know my coach can spend more time analyzing my ACTUAL data and provide feedback (which I care more about) rather than writing plans. I love meeting new athletes and clinking beers after a great or crazy race (Galveston, amitire?), so come say hello if you see me on a course near you!

The bad omen did not change his solemnity, however. He took the shot he had planned and it was good- Gabriel Garcia Marquez
