I am a husband, father of three boys, Honors Chemistry teacher, robotics coach, and camping ministry leader. My triathlon journey started as a challenge from my students to learn how to swim. I have been a long time runner and was turned on to road biking about a year ago. Something that I have said to my students when they have told me something is "hard" is that, "Well, it sure is good we can do hard things - let's not give up!" This was part of what initiated the challenge for me, and I accepted, as long as it was for a cause that we could support together. This year, I am participating in the Ironman 70.3 Steelhead event on June 30th to raise money for "The Rayder Den" - an in-school grocery store at the school I teach in that serves students and their families in financial need. Students shop every Friday before they go home for the weekend. Items such as food and bathroom necessities are all free and provided with help from churches and donors in the community. The Rayder Den serves around 40 families a week!

At first, I was not sure if TriDot was "the real deal". I signed up to find out for myself - I am so glad I did! I am thankful for TriDot's personal support, personalized training plans, accountability if you want it, friendly online community, convenient and insightful personal data, as well as it's numerous resources to help you become a better swimmer, biker, runner - triathlete... person. TriDot has helped me not only learn so much about triathlon... but so much about myself. With TriDot, I have created habits whose benefits not only help to massively improve my physical ability... but mentally, the lessons I have experienced as I stay consistent, persevere, and reap the rewards of improvement, have encouraged me to do the same in other areas of my life. Having a plan with TriDot has been so rewarding! It is without a doubt a game-changer. I have not even completed the Ironman 70.3, but can say that because of TriDot... I feel like a triathlete, and I AM ready, because #iamtridot .
